My passion is creatively using sound to tell stories.

She studied audio storytelling at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies and received her B.A. in psychology at the University of Portland. She has been very involved in the Portland radio scene, including completing an internship at Oregon Public Broadcasting.
Currently, Carlye is the Executive Producer of the Non-Profit Happy Hour on XRAY.fm where she works to shed light on the good work being done in the Portland non-profit community. She is also producing and editing a grant-funded audio series based on Senate Bill 13, which calls upon the Oregon Department of Education (ODE) to develop a statewide curriculum relating to the Native American experience in Oregon.
In her free time Carlye plays ultimate frisbee. Her favorite sound is popcorn popping.
